Mahau Magic Retreat (2 days)

Days: Thursday to Friday or Saturday to Sunday

Make your way to the historic village of Havelock, where you will be taken to a local powhiri (welcome) and sample some Maori food to kick start your Kiwi Kai retreat.

Then on to the magical Mahau Sound where you are surrounded by bush, sea, birdsong and a lot of incredible Kiwi Kai. Harvest fresh shellfish straight off the beach, sample fish pulled out of the emerald waters of the Sound, pick kawakawa from the bush and fresh vegetables and fruits from the garden. A light lunch of Marlborough seafood and wines. An evening hands on cooking class will introduce you to Kiwi kai with a twist.

Ease into your second day  with an amazng breakfast on the deck and then help yourself to kayaks or the dinghy to explore the waters, or go bush walking amidst the Bellbirds, Tuis and Fantails. Perhaps a yoga session on the deck or just relax on the beach. A final late lunch of local New Zealand food and wine before you leave this magical spot.
